Dedicated to my Mum

Dedicated to a soul that never lost its spark!

“To my beautiful mother who came from a generation of simple and solid values that stand the test of time.”

Image (2)Our mum’s last Christmas 2013.  At ninety-four years young, with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.

Although she did not remember who I was, she was happy and healthy, surrounded by her new ‘family’ in the nursing home.

She playfully flirted with the male nurses like a young woman, it was so sweet to witness her as a person as opposed to the ‘mother’ she had been throughout my life. She sang to songs, chatted to everyone that entered her space – even though the conversations may have been the same stories repeated over and again.  And walked anywhere she could.

Her spirit and essence amazed me, she may not have remembered my name or relationship, yet there was a knowing between us that we shared a special bond.

At the end of the day, her happiness was all that mattered.

A wonderful gift for a mother, friends or yourself.

‘My intention was to give a heartfelt give to my mother, it turned out to be the greatest gift I gave to myself.’
